A beer party for each day of the week? You betcha. Today marks the return of 10,000 Minutes of Minnesota Craft Beer, a weeklong celebration of local brewing. Wherever you live, something will be happening nearby.
Across the state there are over 75 events taking place from May 4 to 10. There are tap takeovers and beer dinners, special parties, one-off rareties, and firkin tappings. There are homebrew panels and industry talks about how to start a brewery.

Fulton Gran Fondo Saturday, May 9, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Fulton Beer Production Facility, 2540 Second St. NE, Minneapolis It's an annual 100-mile bike ride. It's a parking lot party with live music. It's a sneak peak at 2015's Randonneur saison. It's all of the above, plus it raises funds for the Minnesota Cycling Center. The block party is free and features music from Solid Gold, BBGUN, and What Tyrants.
Barrel-Aged Reckage Tuesday, May 5, all day Halftime Rec, 1013 Front Ave., St. Paul Some of Minnesota's favorite barrel-aged beers come out of the cellars for this high-alcohol beer party. Indeed's Rum King, Surly's Darkness, and Lift Bridge's Silhouette will all be poured, dark and heavy. Definitely a cab event.
Urban Growler Taproom -- A Week of Special Releases Tuesday through Sunday Urban Growler Brewing Co., 2325 Endicott St., St. Paul A new beer release every day the taproom is open, including weekend returns of some popular favorites. Tuesday: Cinco de Mayo Jalapeño CowBell Cream Ale Wednesday: 7th Plow to Pint series beer Thursday: Midwest IPA cask Friday: Coconut Porter Saturday-Sunday: The return of Imperial Smoked Chipotle Porter, Pumpkin Saison, and Endicott IPA
Lagerfest Friday, May 8, 5 to 10 p.m. Republic 7 Corners, 221 Cedar Ave S, Minneapolis Craft beer doesn't have to be have a double-digit ABV and pumpkin-peach additives. Republic 7 Corners looks at Minnesota interpretations of the classic lager, including Bent Paddle, Bauhaus, Schell's, and Fair State. There will be 12 taps, tastings and food pairing guides, giveaways, and more.
Hammerheart Tap Takeover Wednesday, May 6, 5 to 7 p.m. Northbound Smokehouse & Brewpub, 2716 E. 38th St., Minneapolis Northbound Smokehouse has excellent brews itself, but this week the brewpub will be highlighting several local friends on different days. Wednesday marks a tap takeover form Lino Lakes' Hammerheart, whose bold beers are smoky, peaty, and unique as all get out. Of course, the ambiance will be set to a metal soundtrack.
