Firkin Fest at the Happy Gnome happens this Saturday, March 26th. The big tent goes up in the parking lot on Thursday and the firkins will be put in place to rest for two days. Aside from the regular Happy Gnome menu available in the dining room, food will also be available under the tent. Chef Scott Brink is smoking a fine selection of meats and fish. You'll need to have cash in hand to purchase food. A few tickets are still available at Eventbrite. A $35 general admission ticket buys you unlimited samples until the beer is gone. For those lucky enough to get early-entry VIP tickets (sold out) the tent opens at noon. The rest of us will have to wait until 1:00. The fest goes until 5:00 or until the beer runs out, whichever comes first.
The Happy Gnome just released the line-up for the event. Looks like a great selection.[jump]
General Manager Catherine Pflueger says they are expecting over 80 firkins this year. Here's what they have so far.
