Caviar and vodka coming to Uptown
Caviar and vodka coming to Uptown

Hammer & Sickle, a new Russian-influenced restaurant, will be moving into the former Kinsen Noodle space on Lagoon Avenue. The hearty food will definitely carry us through our long winters, and a little vodka won't hurt.

Southwest Journal reports

that Gene Suh, who also owns the Lyndale Tap House, Valley  Tap House, and the forthcoming Prairie Tap House, is behind the venture.

The food will include items such as beef stroganoff over mashed potatoes (rather than the traditional noodles), pierogies, and other Russian dishes served "with an American twist." Vodka and caviar flights will also be featured.

To suit the neighborhood, the kitchen will be open until 2 a.m. daily. If all goes well, they'll be open in early October.
