We recently reported that Red Wagon Pizza was getting into the brunch game (and getting in deep, too, serving Saturday, Sunday, and Monday brunch) with pancakes, French toast, and yes, breakfast pizza.
And now, Grand Cafe, one of our town's most heralded brunch slingers (they've even gotten some national attention), is giving Red Wagon some friendly competition by getting into pie selling.
Beginning April 26 and continuing every subsequent Sunday, Grand Cafe will serve Sicilian Style Pizza, which is bound to be fabulous, as their chef Andrew Craft is known for his amazing artisanal breads, and of course Grand has the most amazing oven in town -- seriously, if you haven't seen it, it's worth the trip alone.
Along with this pie you'll find a full roster of bedfellows -- antipasti like cod brandade and Italian sausage, charcuterie, and of course their classic affogato. We got a sneak peek of the menu:
