Fusion: Happy hour of the week
Hours: Daily 4 p.m.-6 p.m., late Tuesday and Wednesday, 10-close, Thursday-Saturday, midnight-close.
Details: 1/2-price drinks and beer, $4 martinis, $10 bottomless house wine, $20 bottomless premium wine, 2-for-1 select appetizers, 1/2 price-maki rolls.
Venue: The setting at Fusion is as much of a blend as its food. The former Cafe Zeno site is a combination of city sidewalk cafe, sexy-plush lounge, stylish sushi bar, and contemporary dining room. The menu is just as eclectic, and they also feature the desserts of Cafe Zeno.
Verdict: This happy hour is fabulous, especially for those who forgo sushi indulging due to lack of cash. My dining partner and I each had a martini (the definition of which is disputable), mine with fresh mango juice, lime, and white cranberry, his the traditional gin variety. We shared a generous bowl of spring green edamame, flavorful and fresh spicy tuna and California rolls, and lovely clams in a white wine sauce. We were pleasantly surprised when our bill was only $21. This is an awesome way to end a work day or late evening out.
