If there are any finer words in any language, we don't know what they are.
In a gesture of true hospitality, Amore Victoria is just giving away wine, the way one would if entertaining guests at home.
And for once, there's not much of a catch. See also: Almond Chai Hot Toddy at Amore Victoria: Melt cares away with this drink of the week[jump]
Every Monday, upon being seated, each guest will be greeted with a complimentary glass of red or white wine. How civilized.
"We want our guests to be filled with wine and sunny days, the least we can do is buy the first glass," says owner Alex Victoria.
Naturally, these guests are not going to want to stop after just one, so come in on a Tuesday, order one bottle of wine, and get the second one free.
Avoid pitfalls. Bring friends.
"We have seen groups of couples and families come in to take advantage of this special and that is just great."
Amore Victoria has been a mainstay on the corner of Lake and Irving for a decade. They're popular for their red-sauce Italian classics like spaghetti bolognese and rich fettucine alfredo.
And, apparently, free wine.
"If giving away free wine helps more people gather together for a great meal we are doing our job as a neighborhood Italian restaurant."
