They call it the "Rush Hour," but to us it sounds like a sweet, sweet happy hour. And fresh off your St. Paddy's Day revelry, it might be a good time to do a little after-work sugar, as opposed to another round of drinks (maybe we're just speaking for ourselves here).
Here's more on the daily deal from Franklin Street Bakery:
Venue: You know them for their crazy cool cupcakes (like the mashed potato) and impressive cakes, plus the cute outdoor seating in the spring and summer. Folks around these parts have even extolled their sandwich bread. It's bright, charming and near all our faves--Convention Grill, France 44, and the Linden Hills Co-op.
Verdict: Yes, it's just one happy hour from 5 to 6 p.m. weekdays, and it's a way to sell out of the leftover morning treats, but who the heck cares about the reasons why? If Franklin Street Bakery is on your way home, why not avail yourself of any remaining apple fritters, filled doughnuts, or cinnamon rolls. And next week you can go back to the Jag-bombs--that is, if you still want to after finding this deal.
