The Fabian Seafood Company of Galveston, Texas (about 300 miles west of the BP spill), is in its 33rd year of driving trucks of fresh seafood--wild-caught Gulf shrimp, blue crab, oysters, and more--to the Twin Cities and selling it out of parking lots. Even the Fabians admit that their process might sound a little sketchy at first, but they've become a local foodie fave--perhaps more for their novelty than necessarily their prices and product quality, which tends to be comparable to other local purveyors like Coastal Seafoods.

Here's the schedule for the next three days if you'd like to track 'em down:

Thurs, Sept. 30 Richfield Jun Bo Chinese Restaurant (494 & Nicollet) Noon-6 pm

Friday, Oct. 1 Minnetonka Metro Petro (Hwy 7 and Williston) Noon-6 pm

Saturday, Oct. 2 Apple Valley Pahl's Market (6885 W. 160th St.) 10 am-Noon
