Sicily, Abu Dhabi, Cuba, and um. . . The North Loop? Young professionals with slick loft spaces: you're in some pretty high faultin' company.

Each year, juggernaut travel guide Fodor's publishes it's "Go List", 25 "exceptional experiences" that make up the top 25 travel destinations for the coming year. For 2016, along with the Afro-Caribbean customs and French style on the exotic tropical islands of Guedeloupe, the remote 47-mile South Atlantic island of St. Helena, and modern Asian megalopolis Taipei, make sure you keep room on your dance card for the the North Loop.

"The formerly derelict neighborhood is now a flourishing foodie haven and hipster paradise," quoth Fodor's.
