No. 69: Patrick's Bakery and Cafe's tiramisu
Upon first glance, this pyramid of deliciousness might seem too precious to consume. Like an untouched designer Barbie kept on a pedestal, this tiramisu rests on a golden platform, its white chocolate topping like an exclamation point. But once the fork pierces through a golden corner, there's no turning back. French pastries and desserts are best eaten slow and are meant to be savored, and this creamy, coffee-flavored confection is no exception. The custard filling, the impossibly moist crust, even the vanilla and chocolate sprinkles are important and memorable. Patrick's tiramisu may not be something you pick up weekly--unless you happen to live out in Richfield--but is definitely worth the trip if you are in the mood for something insanely decadent.
