Fair Food Fight Night parties with beef and beer
Fork the power, people!
Back in the '90s, the kids sucked on pacifiers and went to warehouse raves. In the 2000s, they're dancing in photography studios while discussing animal welfare, competing in an organic meat raffle, and sipping locally brewed beer.
This Friday, July 23, from 6 p.m. till "we drop," the Fair Food Fight group is hosting a party at the Rau + Barber Bldg (4244 Nicollet Ave. S, Minneapolis). Local, sustainable, organic eats will be for sale from Corner Table, the Modern Cafe, and Magic Bus Cafe. Plus, plenty of Fulton Beer will be flowing, along with Equal Exchange coffee and chocolate, and a Grill Pack ($155 value) from Nature's Pride Organics will be raffled off.
Stephanie March of Mpls/St. Paul magazine will host a discussion about ethically raised meat and animal welfare and then Danny Sigelman, formerly of Radio K and the Current, will be DJ-ing, with music starting at 8:30 p.m. You can buy drink tickets for a Fulton beer or a homemade soda from Corner Table online or at the door.
