El Burrito Mercado is expanding
A longtime West Side St. Paul favorite, El Burrito Mercado, has announced it is opening a stall at the Midtown Global Market. It will be serving its first lunch there on Thursday, July 26, and will host a public grand opening on August 5.
Here are more details on the new location and upcoming events:
Just like its flagship store, this new El Burrito Mercado location will have a grocery store component, as well as Mexican deli items (like tamales), gifts, and housewares for sale. Its classic enchiladas and always awesome burritos will be served from the cafeteria-style restaurant.
The grand opening party will go from 12 to 3 p.m., and will showcase Mexican dancers, live Mariachi music, and corn roasters.
The Midtown Global Market location is owned and operated by Tomas Silva Jr. and Milissa Silva-Diaz, son and daughter of the original El Burrito Mercado owners and founders, Tomas and Maria Silva.
