Eight years is a milestone anniversary for an indie restaurant. Grand Cafe owners Dan and Mary Hunter know this, and they're celebrating the occasion with an upcoming "appreciation open house."
The open house will also be an opportunity to introduce their new chefs, Andrew Kraft and Nathel Anderson, who the Hunters say they "love, love, love," along with the duo's new menu. One and all are invited to meet the chefs and sample complimentary tastes from the kitchen (cocktails will be available for purchase).
Both chefs are alumni of Stewart Woodman properties; Anderson worked at both Heidi's and Birdhouse -- at the latter he joined up with Kraft before the two moved on to work together at King's Wine Bar and now Grand.
The team's culinary style is playing out in the form of family-style "shareable feast" options, housemade pastas and charcuterie, scratch bread and pastries -- all with an emphasis on "European countryside influence."
Join them on November 23 from 6 to 9 p.m. for a taste and a toast to Grand Cafe's continued success.
