Eat ramen, help Japan

It's never too hot to eat ramen, especially if the soup has been made by a chef vs. ripped out of a plastic package and warmed up in the microwave.

So get to the Twin Cities first ever ramen-off on Thursday, July 21 at Create Catering Dining Studio. Various chefs--from Masu and moto-i, but also Russell Klein of Meritage and Jack Riebel of the Dakota--will each create a signature ramen dish for sampling with noodles donated by Sun Noodle.

Tickets cost $10 (purchase online or at the door) and include one bowl of ramen. Additional bowls of ramen and beer/beverages will be available for purchase. Proceeds benefit the food shelves of Second Harvest Japan (no affiliation to the American organization) that is still struggling to meet the need of those affected by the earthquake and tsunami.

DJ Nak, "Norae Time" karaoke, and a Snapz Photobooth will provide additional entertainment.

Twin Cities Ramen-Off Thursday July 21, 6 p.m. - 10 p.m. Create Catering Dining Studio 1121 Jackson St. NE, Mpls. 55413
