Dunn Bros sells coffee...in growlers!
During the warmer months, sometimes it's just too damned steamy to drink hot coffee, prompting many a caffeine fiend to switch over to cold press, or coffee "brewed" in the refrigerator for several hours. If you've been going through the stuff in great quantity, Dunn Bros. recently started selling its "Infinite Black" cold press in 64-ounce growlers--those refillable glass jugs brewpubs often use to sell beer on site. The Dunn Bros. ones cost $12.95 for the first growler and $10 for each refill. "If you make cold press at home," one barista noted, "you end up spending that much on beans."
A few recipe suggestions from Dunn Bros. on how to drink your cold press:
Iced Thai Coffee - 1 cup Infinite Black cold press coffee - 2 oz. sweetened condensed milk - 1 tsp. brown sugar - dash of cinnamon
Caribbean Martini - 4 oz. Infinite Black cold press coffee - 1 1/2 oz. dark rum - 1 1/2 oz. Kahlua - ice cubes
