Minnesota is May-- floral and perfumed-- so sweet are these first days of dining outdoors and taking it all in. Saji-ya's Lychee-tini also has the ambrosial qualities of the month of May. Made with Absolut Vodka, Soho Lychee Liqueur and lychee juice, this cocktail is sweet, fragrant and luscious.
Since the lychee thrives in the warm humid climates of Asia, (yes, I did google "lychee") it is a wonderful companion to the graceful simplitity of Japanese cooking. And, unpeeled fresh lychee fruit, according to this website, "will explode if you throw it into a fire."
So, there's that.
