She was down, but Dawn Otwell isn't out. The owner of the beloved Donut Cooperative is back and ready for a battle. Find out where you can see her this summer.

The Cooking Channel put out the call for doughnut makers and Otwell answered.  Although her shop, which made the journey from Kickstarter dream to brick and mortar reality, has been shuttered since December, fans of her creative fried dough have remained loyal. A few even turned out for an event where they were permanently inked with the Donut Cooperative's foxy logo.

In March Otwell announced via Facebook that she'd received the DVD for her episode and was ready to share with friends.

The rest of us will have to wait until the July 3 series premiere, when her appearance on the new Donut Showdown airs locally. The show pits three doughnut makers against one another for the chance to win $10,000.
