Denny's customer wanted waitress arrested for late toast

It's not after-bar breakfast at Denny's without toast... or the cops.

Maybe you don't expect your after-bar meal at Denny's to be the best food you've ever had.

But at least it should show up fast.

This was the contention of one woman at the Denny's restaurant in Rochester, Minnesota, who seems to have lost her temper on a waitress there. The customer, 21-year-old Tory Schmidt, was disappointed with how long it took for an order of toast to arrive.

The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. last Friday. It did not end well.

So adamant was Ms. Schmidt, and so vociferous in her complaints, that restaurant employees called police to handle the situation.

Schmidt was "screaming and swearing" when cops arrived, KIMT reports. But the arrival of police seemed like something of a solution for her.

Schmidt hoped the cops had come to help her get toast.

She told the cops they should arrest the waitress for not bringing her toast.

The officers took a look at the situation and went the other way, instead taking Schmit into custody for disorderly conduct.

Police told KIMT they think alcohol may have been a factor. Huh.
