Minneapolis-based Dairy Queen this month rolled out a "recession-friendly" bargain value menu that will now be a permanent feature at its restaurants.
Well, depends on your definition of bargain. The "deal" allows customers to choose from among nine menu items: Get two for $3, three for $4 or four for $5. Not bad, right?
Maybe. Consumerist reports, for example, that the chain's chicken wrap (one of the nine choices) costs $1.39 on its own, but if you employ the deal and get two, it's $3.
Sure, it's only 22 cents, but still.
