When you hit the Brainerd Lakes this season, you don't have to spend the trip subsisting on fish fry. The Grand View Lodge in Nisswa--one of Minnesota's best-loved up north resorts--recently upgraded its dining options by opening a new restaurant, Cru.
Cru's menu would look right at home in many a metro restaurant, with its small plates of beet and goat cheese salad, ahi tuna, charcuterie plate, grilled lamb sliders, smoked duck banh mi, and lobster roll. Wines, of course, are a major focus, and the wine cellar acts as a backdrop for the dining room and sommelier Timothy Edwards, who also works for the Crave restaurants, has curated an extensive international list.
Cru is currently open Tuesday-Sunday for dinner service and is open to the general public.
