Crop Mobs descend on small farms

It was only a matter of time before Art Mobs inspired Crop Mobs, groups of young people, coordinated by email or word of mouth, to descend on a small, sustainable farmer's land--and help pick crops or rock. The Times magazine recently issued a "field report" on a group working in North Carolina, where 50-plus volunteers worked for five hours to do more on the young owner's fledgling farm than he and his crew of three would have been able to accomplish in months.

The NC crop mob has a mailing list of some 400 people and has so far worked at 15 small, farms, contributing a total of more than 2,000 person-hours. Think we should start one here?
