Imbibing today practically requires a degree in history, some diagrams, a glassware tutorial, and a good poker face when you still don't understand what the hell is inside your highball. We've got you. City Pages Second Annual Cocktalian event will allow you to not only sample many, many libations, but you're free to chat up distillers, mixologists, vintners, and brewers so you can come away buzzed, happy, and educated.
This year's event is bigger and better, with lots more space at the Minneapolis Depot Hotel on Dec. 10, starting at 6 p.m. (VIP early entry) and general admission at 7 p.m. It goes until 10 p.m.

Carver Distillery Cocktail Room, 4Marq USB drives/mini-speakers, Elixery lipstick, restaurant discounts, and lots of other cool stuff.
For the $30 general admission rate, entry includes drink samples and live music by the JT Bates Trio, educational demos by renown local mixologists, and restaurant sampling.
Drink samples will be provided by DuNord, Vikre, 11 Wells, 45th Parallel, Millers & Saints, Lawless Distilling, J. Carver, Few Spirits, Mississippi River Distilling, Far North Spirits, Chateau St. Croix Winery & Vineyard, AM Craft Spirits, Wander North, Lost Falls, Platinka, Tattersall Distilling, Bauhaus Brew Labs, Cosmos, Pinstripes, and Bradstreet Neighborhood Craftshouse.
