City Pages Wine Tasting event tomorrow
When you try to buy wine in a liquor store, are you overwhelmed by the sheer number of varietals and vintages from all over the globe? Especially since you've never tried most of them and have little to go on but the labels and prices? Here's your chance to get a great wine education in one night, and to taste-test as many of those bottles as you can in three hours.
The City Pages Wine Tasting, presented by MGM, takes place tomorrow night (Friday, March 26) from 6 to 9 p.m. at International Market Square (275 Market Street, Minneapolis). Join like-minded oenophiles in sampling more than 300 wines, including some of the best domestic and imported wines available at metro MGM locations. (Crispin Cider, Heineken, and other nonwine beverages will also be on hand.) The wine will be accompanied by light appetizers from award-winning D'Amico Catering and music from the Jack Brass Band. Tickets are $28 in advance and $35 at the door ($10 for designated drivers), and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Saint Paul Jaycees. More info and tickets here.
