Check out Green Line beer events, the Harriet 5K, and a new Summit Union Series beer

This weekend marks the grand opening of the Green Line Light Rail along University Avenue. As the community celebrates, local breweries are joining in the fun with deals, samples, and tours.

Summit is helping to sponsor the Off the Rails Pub Crawl from 4 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, hitting several pubs on the route and offering deals on their beers at cooperating venues. The soon-to-open Urban Growler will be involved in the Raymond Celebration at the corresponding Green Line stop, and both Urban Growler and Bang Brewing will be involved in a trolley run that will go from the Raymond station, around the neighborhood, and back. Bang is fully open while Urban Growler is offering tours and selling merchandise as they await final licensing.
