This weekend Hell's Kitchen is celebrating Easter as only Hell's Kitchen can; with a slurry of live music and food specials. On Easter Sunday, downtown Minneapolis's Hell's Kitchen is serving a special dinner event featuring live music from Minneapolis blues man Javier Matos and some holiday walleye specials.
The Rena Haus Trio will also provide a side of live music for Sunday brunch. Brunch music goes from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and dinner runs 4 to 10 p.m., with music from 5 to 8.
As usual Hell's Kitchen will also have a variety of other musicians playing throughout the weekend, which will include Nikki & the Ruemates, Sophia Shorai, and RJ & The Soul.
The bakery upstairs will also be preparing some special treats for the holiday weekend. The pastry chefs up at Angel Food are making "all-natural, no-preservative, gluten-free" peeps for the Easter celebration, and each scratch-made peep is meticulously hand piped from a pastry bag. The peeps will run 75 cents each while supplies last, but if you'd like to call ahead you can order a dozen in assorted colors for $7.50.
According to the folks at Angel Food, you'll need to "hold on to your Easter bonnets, because even folks who normally hate the drugstore critters say the difference is unreal."
