:::Update::: Due to unforeseen circumstances, Chowgirls Killer Catering has postponed the Harvest Moon Supper until a later date. We will keep you posted when we hear more information.
Who said you need to get out of the city in order to celebrate the harvest? Next week, Chowgirls Killer Catering brings the spirit of autumn to Northeast Minneapolis with the Harvest Moon Supper.

On Thursday, September 19, Chowgirls will host a dinner service featuring lots of turkey supplied by Ferndale Market in Cannon Falls. John Peterson of the market will be on hand during the event as the guest of honor. Peterson will talk about sustainable farming, his family's hand in Ferndale Market, and, of course, turkey.
The supper will consist of three courses -- an appetizer, an entrée, and a dessert -- each highlighting the flavor of Minnesota-raised turkey combined with locally-sourced produce.
Starting out the dinner will be Chowgirls' Baby Hot Browns, an open-faced turkey BLT with cheese and Mornay sauce to boot. Next comes a new take on an old classic: turkey meatloaf with Friesago (a sheep milk cheese from Shepherd's Way in Nerstrand), tarragon, and sweet onions. Diners can finish the gobble-centric meal with a warm fruit crisp and coffee and tea from Equal Exchange.
The event starts at 5:30 p.m. with a cocktail reception, followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. More information and tickets are available here for $30.
If you can't wait until next week, Chowgirls also have a Harvest Gala going on tonight, benefiting the Northeast Minneapolis Farmers Market.
