The chain of Bulldog restaurants are known for their approachable, easygoing vibe and for being one of the first local pubs to put an emphasis on better bar food. Owner Matt Lokowich was known for similar things— generosity, kindness, and fun.
Lokowich passed away suddenly "peacefully in his sleep" according to the restaurant's Facebook Page, on Saturday, July 16th. His age was not given.
The Bulldog could not be reached directly for comment, but they've asked the general public to "please come visit us at any of our locations and help support our Bulldog family as we grieve and share Matt’s wonderful memories".
A memorial service will be held at Gasthof Zur Gemutlichkeit on Monday July 25th, from 3p.m to 7p.m. for friends and family.
"As Matt would always say: 'roll out the barrel of fun!'”
