Bike to Beer makes the trip to Enki Brewing and beyond

Minnesota's love for craft beer and bikes collide again with next week's Bike to Beer ride to Enki Brewing. The latest installment of Bike to Beer traverses much of the Twin Cities, with stops at several breweries along the way.

The trip spans a total of 43 miles, so this isn't a ride for the faint of heart. The group will start out at Fulton Brewing in Minneapolis around 3:00 p.m. on Friday, July 12, and head straight to Enki during the 23-mile leg (the longest of the brew-hopping adventure).

After downing a few pints at Enki, they'll hit the road again and make a stop at Excelsior Brewing Co. (6 miles from Enki). The group will cap the night off with a visit to Steel Toe Brewing in St. Louis Park (13 miles from Excelsior).

Haven't heard of Enki Brewing? They just opened up a few weeks ago, but they're creating quite the stir in Victoria with their debut beer, Citric Journey. Owners John Hayes and Dan Norton took over the old Victoria Creamery and turned part of it into the up-and-coming brewery named for the Sumerian god of water.
