Better Beer Society celebrates launch with 2 events

The Better Beer Society (BBS) came roaring out of the chutes last month with announcements and articles heralding its arrival on the Twin Cities beer scene. The project of Robin Shellman, a certified cicerone and regional representative of the Tallgrass Brewing Company, the BBS aims to improve the quality of beer service in the metro through staff training and restaurant certification. Area eateries and watering holes can prove their beer savvy with basic, silver, or gold certification based on inspections by trained BBS certified cicerones. The new organization will also be offering representation to small breweries that do not have distribution agreements with a local distributor.

To celebrate the launch of the Better Beer Society, Shellman has some interesting events planned in the next few weeks.
