Bang Brewing in St. Paul officially open for business

Originally slated for February 2013, the 1,300 square foot grain bin that is Bang Brewing Company officially opened in St. Paul this past weekend. The brewery is owned by the husband and wife team of Sandy and Jay Boss Febbo, seasoned homebrewers who are focused on keeping their carbon footprint small and making the most out of high-quality ingredients.

Much of their South St. Anthony Park facility is made from reclaimed materials, like their parking deck made from old wood from the Mill City ruins. 

The brewery is opening with a bang, albeit a small one with just a single beer on tap. Their flagship brew is called Neat, an unfiltered very pale ale made with all-organic ingredients. Another unique characteristic of Bang's beers in the absence of fining agents, which are used at the end of the brewing process to aid in improving the clarity of the beer. 

Visitors are welcome to stop by the brewery on Fridays from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Saturdays from noon to 5:00 p.m.
