A&W bringing more drive-ins to Minnesota
Any more opportunities for draft root beer is just fine with me. The great-for-roadtrips A&W plans to open a few more restaurants in Minnesota this year. It's a Midwestern explosion for the company, which has targeted Wisconsin and Michigan for new restaurants as well. The chain currently has a couple dozen locations in Minnesota, most of them outstate. A&W is owned by YUM! Brands, which also owns KFC, Long John Silver's, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell. As previously reported in Hot Dish, fellow drive-in chain Sonic is also expanding its Minnesota presence.
