The good residents of Richfield (and adjacent neighborhood hangers-on) had to wait quite some time for the opening of Lyn 65. But the patient were rewarded handsomely, with steel buckets of southern fried chicken, supper club-y prime rib dinners, reasonably priced creative cocktails, and complimentary house-made soft serve to cap off each meal.
That's all well and good, but if we have learned anything from the local places that have managed to stick around for a long time, a truly family-friendly, return-and-repeat kind of neighborhood restaurant should serve either an outstanding burger or a fabulous plate of pasta. Lyn 65 decided to stack the deck and do both.
If we're going to pick just one, as is the point of this list, it's definitely the bucatini bolognese, a slow-simmered, perfectly layered, complex yet rustic kind of dish that sticks in your mind as much as it sticks to your ribs.
