The Tangiers in the North Loop is one of Minneapolis' newest hotspots, but most who frequent the bar are going for the drinks and the company, and arriving after 9 p.m.
Little do they know that this swanky Prohibition-style lounge also has a handful of tasty small plates and a top-notch happy hour to boot.

One such small plate is the Bianca flatbread, among our favorite flatbreads in the cities. The bread is soft and not greasy -- no grabbing for napkins to mop up grease as is common with other flatbreads -- and the sharp Gorgonzola cheese and balsamic vinaigrette blend seamlessly, topped with prosciutto and baked figs. It makes for a simple but well-executed dish worth going back for.
Take note, North Loopers: The newest night club in your hood actually has some note-worthy food. The kitchen is open from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
