While their specialty is seafood, a hidden gem on the happy hour menu is as far from salt water as it gets -- and it will have you forgetting you're in a fish joint entirely.
The pear and blue cheese pizza is the perfect blend of sweet and savory, crunchy and juicy. The crust is crispy and simple. In lieu of sauce, fontina, jack, asiago, and blue cheeses are blended, melted, and baked to that ideal bubbly point. Blue Point then adds caramelized bosc pears and onions. The $7 pie serves one, but the blue cheese and pear combo packs such a delicious punch, you may find yourself ordering two.
This particular pizza is served only at the Wayzata location and only during happy hour. Blue Point's happy hour is 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
