Now that's planning ahead: On the heels of postponing their June 27 show at the TCF Bank Stadium in Dinkytown due to Bono's back surgery, U2 have announced a make-up show in Minneapolis on July 23, 2011. The band issued this statement from manager Paul McGuinness:
When that U2 tour with Interpol was canceled, the hopes of a multi-million dollar, 360 degree viewing stage and expensive as all hell light show in a football stadium were sufficiently slashed. But hang tight; we're getting one of those artists back in town later this season.

It looks like U2 fans planning to attend their show next summer at the TCF Bank Stadium at the University of Minnesota will have to do some football-style tailgating before heading into the show if they plan to be liquored up for the epic performance.
