The storm came through in just minutes with no warning, lifting large trees and their roots from the ground and tipping them into yards, houses and streets.
The National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning in parts of Hennepin, Anoka and Ramsey Counties. This warning is in effect until 2:45 p.m.
The record store will be closed until they can assess the damages.
The tornado left a nine-mile path through Long Lake, Plymouth, and Orono.
A number of counties, including Hennepin and Ramsey, are under a tornado watch until 11 p.m. tonight.
