MPD Chief Tim Dolan has failed to comply with a city ordinance that requires him to discipline officers in cases sustained by the CRA, according to a petition.
A petition accuses Dolan of not following the Civilian Review Authority's recommendations for discipline in cases of alleged officer misconduct.
Despite a plea for mercy, the judge stuck Dolan with a six-month sentence for meth and marijuana charges.
The Authority's main beef with Dolan is that he doesn't issue discipline in cases where they find an officer guilty of misconduct.
Video footage has authorities backing away from earlier assertions that the shooting was a robbery attempt.
