The bill would allow the university to serve alcohol at the stadium as long as it agrees to fund a scholarship account with the proceeds.
It looks like U2 fans planning to attend their show next summer at the TCF Bank Stadium at the University of Minnesota will have to do some football-style tailgating before heading into the show if they plan to be liquored up for the epic performance.
Bono and the boys plan to bring some elevation to the new home of Gophers football.

Plan on attending a Gopher game at the new TCF Stadium this fall? If you're a college student with any alcohol-related tickets under your belt, be prepared to blow before entry. If you fail, you'll be turned away. Even if you're over 21.
President Robert Bruininks plans to recommend that alcohol be banned at the on-campus stadium as well as all other campus sports arenas.
