What do Andy Sturdevant, Kate Hopper, and Joshua Ostergaard have in common? A lot, actually. All three are University of Minnesota creative writing MFA graduates, all have recently published (or are about to publish) their first book, and all three of these books are nonfiction. These commonalities are center stage at First Books, an annual event for the University's creative writing program. At the happening, the three authors will read from their work, discuss the writing process, and chronicle their path to publishing with Chris Fischbach, publisher and editor at Coffee House Press (which published Sturdevant's book, and is publishing Ostergaard's book this spring).
