For "Disobey," the latest exhibition at Tarnish&Gold's new space in the Foundry Building, local art group Dim Media plans to pay homage to street art through a variety of materials. The artists have brought the street indoors, first by scavenging through town for old wallpaper, decayed fencing, and other scraps and signs of former life. Next, they employed acrylics, spray paint, ink, and clay to create multi-dimensional pieces that layer in elements of graffiti art, rock posters, and bits of abandoned buildings.
