It's not hard to define nationality. If you live in America, you're an American, right? You don't have to be a sociologist to know it's not quite that simple. November's WAMChatter at the Weisman will address this very complicated topic in the context of art and regional art history. In order to explore the question, "Who gets to be American in American art?" as well as racial and geographic inclusivity, a group of artists and academics will convene at the Weisman for a night of conversation.
