Well, this is it -- after more than 70 years, a Minneapolis institution is closing its doors. It's a temporary situation at best; the Uptown Bar & Café is currently in the process of searching for a new location, a situation stemming from owner Frank Toonen's need to build a financial nest egg for his family and the widow of his son and former owner Kenneth Toonen.
