Woman sexually assaulted near N. Minneapolis bus stop
The suspect tried to rob the woman at gunpoint. When she said she had no money, he forced her to go between two garages and then sexually assaulted her.
This happened yesterday in broad daylight, at about 8:45 a.m. near the intersection of Fremont Avenue North and 39th Avenue North, according to Minneapolis police. The woman was waiting for the bus when the man approached her, she told police.
After he had assaulted her, the suspect walked the victim back to the bus stop. He ran when she began flagging down passing cars for help.
Minneapolis Police describe the suspect as a light-skinned black male, medium build, 5'6" - 5'8", wearing a white hoodie underneath a black jacket and dark pants. Anyone with information on this attack is asked to call Minneapolis Police Sex Crimes investigator, Sgt Darren Blauert, at 612-673-2913.
