Wisconsin town killing geese to rid lake shore of bird poop
The poor children of Delavan. Their lake has been taken over by evil hissing geese who poop everywhere and make the shoreline horrifically disgusting. What can be done? Kill the geese, of course! They should know better.
The town of Delavan is calling on the U.S. Department of Agriculture Wildlife Service to come trap the pesky creatures and kill them off. No one wants their children rolling around in goose poop, right?
City officials are assuring everyone this is their last option after exhausting all others. In June and July, workers will trap the birds in poultry cages and take them away. Adult geese will be turned into human food, younger geese will become animal food.
And then who gets the job of clearing the lake front of the dried droppings? Not it.
