Wis. prisoner attempts escape, smuggles large bag of raisins
If you're going to be a free man once you jump that giant razor wire fence, what's the need to bring prison raisins along for the ride? We can only imagine he planned to hide out for awhile, completely sustaining on raisins until it was safe to emerge in public. Clever.
An inmate at Columbia Correctional Institution in Wisconsin was busted trying to escape with a big bag of raisins. The 49-year-old took off while on duty picking up food carts.
He stuffed newspapers in his clothes in hopes of protecting himself from the razor wire fence, but cut his hand and took a tumble on the first try. His smuggled bag of giant raisins dangled from the fence. Fail for inmate and raisins.
