Vacationing family's house transforms into icicle
A Chaska family vacationing in South America arrived back in the states earlier this week to find their house had somehow transformed into a giant icicle in their absence.
While the homeowners were in Brazil for a month, the house filled up with water, subsequently turning it into an ice palace not unlike Superman's Fortress of Solitude:
A neighbor spotted the frozen stalactites inside the house Monday and called police. The family returned the following day to find their frozen homestead, but wouldn't comment about it to the Star Tribune.
Chaska's utilities superintendent told the Strib he wasn't sure what caused the leak, but said they have seen two similar cases in the city so far this winter.
The amount of damage done to the house is yet to be seen.
