Norquist and Pawlenty: a star-crossed love
It seems only yesterday that anti-tax guru Grover Norquist was singing the praises of Tim Pawlenty and calling him a dark horse possibility for president in 2008. But Norquist, sadly, does not buy the tax/fee distinction Pawlenty is selling--maybe the Star Tribune purchased the entire lot in bulk--and now the group he chairs, Americans for Tax Reform, is running a week-long series of 30-second TV spots calling out the governor for his proposed cigarette tax hike.
