Vikings safety Tyrell Johnson was arrested for a DWI early this morning and booked into jail, but so far it's unclear what that arrest means for the team.
Johnson was arrested around 3:30 this morning for 4th-degree DWI and spent a couple hours in jail.
The Vikings haven't yet taken a position on what the arrest means for Johnson's status going into Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions.
"We're aware of last night's incident with Tyrell," Vikings spokesman Jon Enkstrom told City Pages.
Enkstrom said the earliest the team would address Johnson's arrest would probably be Leslie Frazier's weekly press conference tomorrow.
Johnson, whose given first name is actually Marcellous, is the back-up strong safety for a Vikings secondary that's so far gotten torched through two games this year, and has only registered four tackles.
