Travel + Leisure magazine names Minneapolis a travel hot spot for 2006

class=img_thumbleft>Prompted by what T+L calls our "current arts explosion and urban revitalization," Minneapolis joins Montenegro, Mongolia, Gabon and Eleuthera (which I think is actually in Middle Earth) on the magazine's list of hot spots for travel in 2006. The magazine notes construction projects by the Walker, the Guthrie, the MPL, and the MIA, as well as the current downtown condo boom in their decision to send travellers and their pocketbooks our way. The Graves 601, IVY Hotel, as well as the Chambers Hotel, scheduled to open this summer, were also mentioned. No comment on the famed celebrity cruises on Lake Minnetonka, however.
