Political wonks are atwitter this morning over a scheduled presser at 2 p.m. during which Pawlenty will allegedly announce his future plans.
Already, speculation is rampant that the announcement will be that he isn't running for governor for a third term and will instead pursue his national ambitions.

The news immediately gave rise to speculation that Norm Coleman might now bow out of the Senate recount in order to buff his image for a run for Minnesota governor, best articulated by @robinmarty:
